I was lucky enough to win 6 of the new Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick from Elizabeth Arden last week! A big thank you to Dave Lackie for this amazing set of products!
This is a new line is inspired by Elizabeth Arden’s iconic Red Door Spa on Fifth Avenue, which was founded in 1910. There is even the “red door” logo imprinted onto the lipstick itself! They range from cream to pearl and even shimmery finishes. You can find Elizabeth Arden at most department stores, as well as on elizabetharden.ca!

I normally stick to pinks and corals but I am really liking the darkest colour in the set called Smokey Plum (in photo below). The formula is fairly moisturizing but it didn’t last through my lunch – I had to fully re-apply after my meal. But I did like that these lipsticks didn’t make my lips super dry. I have to be honest, I found some of these colours a bit to mature for me, if that makes sense. I tend to gravitate towards matte, lighter shades and generally stay away from shimmery lip products. Several of these had a shimmer and satin finish so I really can’t see myself using them with any regularity. At $25 a tube, they are a bit more expensive than most of the lipsticks I wear, but I would recommend this line if you are really looking for a moisturizing lipstick that won’t dry out your lips.
