New Revlon Shiny Matte Nail Enamel

I was fortunate enough to attend a Revlon event recently where I was graciously gifted these beautiful nail enamels. These nail art duos are easy to use and come in five lovely colours. You can find them at Shoppers Drugmart for $8.95 each. I chose Emerald Suede and Tortoiseshell because they just seemed so perfect for the holidays. Something about red, green and gold always makes me think of Christmas! The frosted end holds the matte polish and a regular application brush, and the shimmer polish has a thin brush for adding accents and designs.

I decided to try out Tortoiseshell first, I just thought the red and gold colour combination was so pretty. I attempted a simple design on my accent finger that made me think of ribbon wrapped around presents under the Christmas tree! The lines didn’t turn out perfect, but even with my shaky hands I was able to create a fun design that I was really happy with!

Matte nail polish is a fun twist on your regular manicure. I love the smooth, leathery look it has and it’s a nice alternative to the traditional “wet” look of regular polish. Please enjoy our Charlie Brown Christmas tree in the background! It may be sparse, but it’s ours : )
