Disney’s “Frozen”: Elsa Inspired Makeup Look

I recently watched Disney’s Frozen and absolutely loved it. It took me back to the days of Ariel and Belle, and reminded me of the kinds of movies I fell in love with as a child. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend checking it out. Elsa is the Ice Queen, and her signature look is a blue sparkly gown and the pink and purple eye makeup that goes along with it.

I decided to try and find a wearable way to try out this look. I never thought I’d wear purple and pink eyeshadow proudly, but I went to an event later that day wearing this look and felt great.

Below are the products I used to achieve this look. In the words of my husband “you need ALL that makeup?” Yes. Yes I did.

Face:

  • Benefit “That Gal” Brightening Primer to help my makeup last all day, and to add some illumination to my skin
  • IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Neutralizing Correcting Cream  as my foundation
  • Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer to cover up any blemishes or hyper-pigmentation
  • NARS Blush/Bronzer Duo Laguna to contour below my cheekbones and Orgasm blush on the apples of my cheeks
  • Smashbox Soft Lights in Shimmer just on top of the cheekbone to add some extra glow

Eyes:

  • Essence Eyeshadow Quattro in XOXO, using the purple all over the lid, and the frosty white on just the center of the lid
  • MAC Satin Eyeshadow in Purple Shower above the purple, in the crease
  • Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in White Whitness under the brow bone and in the inner corners to make eves appear larger
  • Maybelline Waterprood Liquid Liner in Black to get a precise black line
  • Benefit They’re Real Mascara in Black, two coats for good measure!

Lips:

  • MAC Lipstick in Pink Nouveau

Thanks for checking out my first “inspired by” look on the blog. Let me know if there is another look you’d like me to try to recreate!
