I was recently sent some samples of the imPRESS Press-on Manicure by Broadway Nails, and I have to say that at first I was a bit unsure. I haven’t used press-on nails since I was 14 and they did NOT look cute. But these imPress nails were sparkly and ombré, two things I love very much so I had to give them a chance!
After a bit a research I discovered that Cheryl Burke from Dancing with the Stars is one of their Brand Ambassadors! She claims these easy to apply nails will give you the perfect manicure. I have to say that I was impressed (pun intended!) with these nails. They stayed on through 2 showers and even then I only took them off because when I ran my fingers through my hair it would get caught under the edge of the nails. They peeled off easily with absolutely no damage to my natural nails.
Keep reading for a step by step tutorial on how to apply this sparkly manicure!
Step 1
Make sure your nails and cuticles are prepped. Clean your nails off with the wipes that come in the pack, or use some nail polish remover on a cotton pad
Step 2
Find the right size for your nails (there are a variety) and peel off the clear backing
Step 3
Apply to your nail and apply pressure for 1 minute to secure
Step 4
Repeat for each nail, making sure you press for at least a minute each time
You may be able to tell that the nail did not fit flush with my natural nails, it’s most evident on my thumb. I think this is because I have very thin nails. They still stayed on very well, I just got annoyed that it didn’t fit perfectly against my nail.
Overall I really liked these! It’s a great way to glam up your nails in just a few minutes, much quicker than applying polish. I would suggest these if you have short or weak nails, it’s a great way to give yourself longer nails for a few days without going through the hassle of having acrylic or gel nails applied. I have very sensitive and weak nails and I had no issue peeling these off, and there was no damage to my natural nail.
Have you tried press-on nails recently? Would you try something like this out at home?

I don’t normally go for sparkle but I love me some ombre 🙂

The colour and pattern is really fun. Are they hard or flexible? That would impact how well they fit your nails, especially if you have flat or really curved nails. They look fun though.

They are pretty hard, I think that’s why I had issues fitting them flush to my nails. You could only tell when looking at them from underneath but it was enough to bug me lol

This is a very fun and bright look for the spring/summer!
It’s been a while since I tried press on nails, but I usually wear them for Halloween, hehe!

Same here, it had been years since I had tried them. I forgot how easy they are to apply. Great for a night out if you want your nails to look flawless 🙂
Jasmine says
These fit so nicely on you, they are way to wide and short for me 🙁
Megan Joy says
Oh no! Sorry to hear that. I had the opposite problem, my nails are so short that the press-ons looked way too long! I just filed them (surprisingly easy) and they looked a lot more natural.
Jayne says
Like Jasmine, they are wide on me and make my whole hand look quite weird. They are a blast to apply and remove though and I only wish they fit my hands better! The design you got is so pretttyyyyy!!
Megan Joy says
Thank you! At first I was like WOAH that’s a lot of glitter but once I put them on I really liked the design. I’m sorry to hear they didn’t fit you well!

These are super cute! 🙂 I have only ever seen the Impress nails in a short length, which is a bit disappointing for me as I have long nails and long nail beds…because these have been reviewed positively by so many of my favourite bloggers to-date!
I love the colour, and bonus points for easy glitter removal ;).
Megan Joy says
The easiest glitter removal I’ve ever done! I also couldn’t resist tapping my nails on every hard surface I could find…. 😉
