Mask Challenge Week 2 – Montagne Jeunesse Manuka Honey Peel Off Face Masque

It’s week 2 of the Canadian Beauty Bloggers Mask-off! This week I tried out the Montagne Jeunesse Manuka Honey Peel Off Face Masque. The honey from this mask comes from the Manuka Bushes of New Zealand and they’ve also added Jasmine for a lovely floral scent. So fancy!

Remember that you can pick up for $1.99 at Farley Co Beauty as well as:

  • London Drugs
  • Select Loblaws
  • Select Zehrs
  • Walmart

It’s been a while since I’ve tried a peel off mask, and just as I remember it HURTS when you peel it off. A lot. But afterward my skin was dewy and surprisingly not red (win for sensitive skin!).

I did find my skin a bit dry afterwards so I’d suggest applying a rich moisturizer following this mask. I did the mask with wet hair because I know it’s easy for pieces of hair to get caught in it while it’s drying. I pulled my hair back after I snapped this photo and didn’t have any issues with stray hairs getting stuck.

For several hours afterward I could catch wiffs of honey from my skin, and lucky for me I love the smell so it didn’t bother me at all!

  • Comfort: 2/5 – It feels nice while applying but once it’s dry your skin is so tight you can’t even smile. Plus peeling it off is ouchie!
  • Aroma: 4/5 – It’s no chocolate mask…but it smells really nice!
  • Result: 3/5 – Left my skin a bit dry, but I didn’t get any hives or redness
  • Ease of use: 3/5 – It was thick and easy too apply

Overall score: 12

Hehe love the selfie! This scent sounds really nice, but I’m not a huge fan of peel off masks.

I don’t blame you, they can be ouchie for sure! My favourite part of the mask was the smell for sure 🙂

What a fun to read post. Loved your pics too! Manuka honey is such a popular ingredient just now and one that I really love. I used to be so fond of peel off masks. I think it was the peeling iff process that I enjoyed so much. Ha ha! This mask looks really good value for money though note your points about being ouchie to peel off and leaving skin dry.

Thanks Tracey! I had never heard of Manuka honey before trying this mask but now I can see why it’s so popular! I think this mask would be amazing for oiler skin types!

You have such cute selfies! I loved the smell of this, and I kept getting whiffs after, up to the next day.

I have pretty much the same comments you do for this mask. It smells great! Kind of an ouchie to remove. Left my skin dry, but really soft.
