Video: Winged Liner Tutorial with Benefit They’re Real Push Up Liner

Hi everyone,

When I posted my first video last week I asked you to comment and tell me what YOU wanted to see. The resounding response was a tutorial on how I do my winged eyeliner!

So…trying to do your liner on camera is not easy, also I don’t have a viewfinder so I was using my compact mirror as a guide. It’s certainly not my best work but hopefully you will still find it informative : )

Sorry for the autofocus nonsense throughout, I am trying to figure out how to get it to stop doing that. I may use the manual focus next time : ) Maybe it’s because I’m waving my arms around the whole time? WHO KNOWS!

Here’s a quick recap on the steps I use to create my winged liner:

  • Step 1:

Line from the middle of the eye to the outer corner

  • Step 2:

To create the wing, follow the line from the outer corner of your eye to the end of your eyebrow

  • Step 3:

Fill in as close to the lash line as you can

  • Step 4:

I have close set eyes so I skip this step, but if you have normal/wide set eyes you can line the rest of your eye to the inner corner. It’s best to do this at the end because there is a very small amount of product on your applicator. It will make applying a very thin line much easier than if it’s loaded with product, kapish?

Please give this video a thumbs up if you liked it, and leave me a comment telling me what you want to see in my next video!

Amazing video Megan, I really loved it! :D
Do you find this liner to be on the drier side? I’m not used to working with gel liner, but I think that I could manage when it’s in this style of packaging :)

I do find it a little dry, and I am also getting used to this liner and how to hold it to properly apply it (hence the crumbling). But if I take the time to do it right it looks much better.

I find using the stamping method for this liner is best. It just sets the eyeliner in the right place, then no crumbles. I love how perfect your winged eyeliner is!!!
Next video should be a DIY mask or something. I love your DIYs.

I like the stamping method but I find sometimes the gel is too thick and it doesn’t actually transfer when I do it that way. If I “swipe” it, it seems to come out better for me. I need more practice applying liner on camera lol

You should try switching from eye to eye starting with the wing and then move in – it helps with the symmetry :)
