Kiss My Face Whenever Shampoo

Eating organic and natural foods is all the rage right now, but it’s easy to forget about being natural when it comes to our haircare. I’ll admit, I don’t think I will ever go completely natural when it comes to hair products. I love trying new things too much and sometimes the more natural options just don’t work as well for me.

Kiss My Face is a line I was introduced to many years ago from my friend Beverley. As a nurse who has always had an interest in naturopathic medicine she has always been my go to person for all things green. These days she actually makes her own skincare and shampoo (I’ll be blogging about that soon) but Kiss My Face was a line we both used religiously. Their formulas are paraben, phthalate and sls free, as well as vegan friendly. They do not allow animal testing or any artificial fragrances.

Kiss My Face Whenever Shampoo is meant to used on all hair types, anytime. It contains argan oil which we know is super hydrating. The antioxidants and vitamin E in argan oil leaves hair hydrated and prevents future damage.

But does it work? Many times we have this idea that in order for something to work it has to be packed full of newfangled chemicals. While I maintain that is sometimes true (in my opinion), Kiss My Face does not sacrifice results in order to be a more natural option.

Pros:

  • My husband and I both use it (we never agree on products like shampoo)
  • It smells great, it’s citrusy but the smell doesn’t linger in your hair
  • A little goes a long way, this baby lathers up really well!
  • Gives your hair that squeeky clean feeling

Cons:

  • I have dry hair already and despite the Argan oil I do find it a little drying. If I apply a hair oil afterwards it’s totally fine
  • If you have fine hair this might be a nice cleansing shampoo to use once a week to remove the build up from products, not a daily shampoo

You can find this line and Walgreens in the US and at Shoppers Drugmart in Canada for about $8.

Have you tried Kiss My Face products before? What did you think? Let me know in the comments : )

* This post contains products that were sent to me for consideration. As always, my reviews and opinions are my own.

I have been using Salty Dawg by Gudonyatoo on Etsy. I LOVE it. I find natural shampoos don’t work great on my thin, oily hair. But this one works SO well. I am obsessed with it!

I have the same issue! The natural ones are often too stripping they make my hair feel like straw. Glad you found one that works! Love Etsy :)
