Jenn does some of the most beautiful nail looks I’ve ever seen, plus she’s just an all around sweet and beautiful lady. The CBB November theme of the month is “Silver and Blue” and today Jenn is sharing her gorgeous snowflake inspired nail look with us!

Hello! I’m Jenn from Scarlet Beauty. I’m so happy to be writing on Megan Joy for CBB’s monthly guest posting! I had the pleasure of meeting her recently, and she’s even more gorgeous in person, which I didn’t think was possible!

The theme CBB picked for November is blue and silver. For some reason the combination of these colours during winter months immediately makes me think of how beautiful and serene it looks when snow falls at night. I decided to try to create the illusion of glistening snowflakes falling against the night sky on my nails.

I used 2 coats of OPI Yoga­Ta Get This Blue! followed by a coat of Essie Set In Stones. Can you picture it? To me, there’s nothing prettier than a snowy winter night. It almost helps makes the winter a little more bearable. Almost.

This polish combination was quite a hit, I can’t believe how many compliments I received in the few days I wore it. I even had a male co­worker ask me how I achieved the look, he thought I had to put each glitter particle on my nail individually and he was amazed I would have the determination to do such a thing. When I told him it was just a glitter top coat, he was still pretty impressed and commented that he can’t believe all the things women do to look so put together all the time ­ the hair, makeup, nails etc. I love all of it though, I find putting on makeup so therapeutic. I did my own makeup for my wedding a couple of months ago because I knew it would help calm my nerves before the big day!
