Skinny Lyfe Tea Detox + Giveaway!

lyfe tea teatox review

Today’s post is a little different and more focused on health and wellness. I recently tried the 14 Day Skinny Lyfe Tea Detox after seeing it recommended on Instagram and YouTube a number of times. I wasn’t sent this product for review, I went to the website and purchased it so I could try it for myself and see what all the hype was about! A detox in a tea? One might call it a…teatox! *Patent pending*

What is a Tea Detox?

Basically it’s a gentle cleanse that is meant to be done in conjunction with regular exercise and healthy eating. It is also a colon cleanse that can be helpful for people who suffer from constipation or bloating. You will absolutely notice a loss in water weight on this detox even if you don’t see significant results.

This is not a magical quick fix for weight loss. One thing I don’t like is that this brand is very focused on before and after results. Their Instagram features photos of dramatic body transformations. Some people do get those results, but it’s because they are also working out 3-4 times a week, eating healthy and drinking a ton of water. The cleanse is just a way to boost the results of what you’re already doing. The tea alone will not make you drop 10 pounds in 14 days.

How does it work?

You drink one tea in the morning (Skinny Lyfe tea) to boost your matabolism and give you energy. You drink another cup in the evening (Detox Lyfe tea) which is a gentle colon cleanse and detoxifier.

What were the results?

As much as it pains me to share this photo I wanted to show you my honest results. I’m having anxiety right now about posting this photo as someone who is a little (aka very) self-conscious of posting photos of my stomach : /

The morning tea gave me more energy which in turn made me feel more motivated to go to the gym. It tasted yummy to me but then again I love green tea.

I didn’t enjoy the taste of the evening tea but without oversharing IT WORKS. I would recommend taking the detox tea on a night that you don’t have to work the next day just incase you do have some cramping or diarrhea. Sorry I used the D-word!

I have a very sensitive stomach and digestive tract and can’t use even the most gentle laxatives without having excruciating cramping. The first night I drank this I did wake up with some slight abdominal discomfort the next day (it takes about 10 hours to start working). However the next night I steeped the tea for 1 minute instead of 3 and found that was the magic combination that worked for me.

I pushed myself to go to the gym 3 times a week and drink lots of water to try and maximize the results. I still ate the same as I usually do so I’m sure that’s why my results weren’t as dramatic. In total I only lost 1.5 pounds in 14 days but I was still happy with the detox overall. I noticed a lot less bloating and found that I had more energy which is really all I was hoping for.

I reached out to Lyfe Tea and told them I enjoyed the product and wanted to share it with my readers. They graciously sent me a full 14 day Skinny Lyfe Tea Detox to give away to one lucky person! You can enter below : )

I’ve been getting SO into tea lately (again, after a long coffee addiction phase) and have heard such good things about this. Plus I work from home, so the detox tea wouldn’t hinder my normal life too much 😉
