This months Ipsy theme is Floral Fantasy to celebrate spring!
If you are new to the Ipsy monthly beauty subscription, here’s the scoop. Ipsy bags come once a month and contains 4-5 samples of skin care, haircare and beauty products for $10/month + $4 shipping CAD.
Each month your Ipsy bag will look different, often times they collaborate with an artist to create a custom pattern or design. This month was one of my all time favourites, I love the bright floral pattern and the bright blue zipper. This is now the makeup bag I carry in my purse with all of my essentials!
VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind Illuminating Face Highlighter
This highlighter is more on the pink side but my current highlighters are more gold or silver and I’m really liking the rosy tone of this one. It’s very pigmented so a little goes a long way and blending is key.
I’ve actually been using this as an eyeshadow as well and it really brightens up the eye while still being subtle and shimmery.

Pūr~lisse beauty pūr~delicate gentle soymilk cleanser & makeup remover
This cleanser was just ok. It didn’t do anything from my skin and I found there was still makeup left on my skin afterward. Luckily my Clarisonic removed any remaining makeup but I wasn’t too impressed with this one. I have tried other Pūr~lisse products and liked them, their sunscreens are great! This one just isn’t anything special.

Dr. Brandt Skincare pores no more anti-aging mattifying lotion
This lotion wasn’t hydrating enough for my skin on its own. But if I applied it over my daily moisturizer it worked really well to leave my skin feeling hydrated but with a matte finish.
NYX Cosmetics Butter Lipstick in Hunk
I love the NYX Butter lipsticks so it was no surprise that this was my favourite products in my March bag! The formula is vibrant with a glossy finish and the colour is a super pretty plum shade.

Boo-Boo Cover-Up Concealer in Medium
This is a decent concealer and while it’s on the thicker side it still blends well. The shade is a little dark for my skin tone but with some careful blending I can still wear it. Also the name is fun and silly and I like that : )
Here’s my makeup look using the products that I received in my March Glam Bag!

- Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid-Touch Foundation
- Boo-Boo Cover-Up Concealer
- NARS Blush in Orgasm
- VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind Illuminating Face Highlighter

Okay remember that Buxom lipgloss you saw me use yesterday? I just remembered there’s even a more amazing (and affordable) lipgloss that has a similar look. NYX Buttergloss in Creme Brulee (http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod5050009#). It just reminded me beacuse I saw you got a NYX product in your ipsy bag. Which, I also meant to comment on yesterday (the blue bag!) So pretty.

Oh awesome, thanks for the recommendation! I am def going to try that NYX one out then. The Buxom one is such a pretty colour! Sometimes the Ipsy bags are kinda “meh” but they chose well in March

ahhh I’ve been dying to try Ipsy but am still debating–knowing me, once I get one, I’ll want to continue the subscription! I really don’t need more products right now but this looks like a pretty good bag! Everyone raves about those butter lipsticks and the boo boo cover-up has been on my wishlist for quite a while!!!

If you want my sample you can have it! It’s a little dark for me and it might work better on your skin tone.

The NYX Butter lipstick looks great on you! I have one in Licorice. The formula is soooo smooth and the price point is great too!
Megan Joy says
So true! The formula is pretty amazing for a Drugstore lippie. I want them in aaaaaaall the colours : )

I love that shade of NYX! The only thing is that I feel like it looks absolutely ridiculous on my skin tone.

Oh noooo! I feel like that about the nude shades. NYX has so many but they all make me look like a ghost : /

Love the bag this month! I keep thinking I should subscribe to ipsy then see some meh bags/products and don’t

They can be hit and miss depending on the month. I prefer Birchbox to Ipsy but it’s worth trying them out to see which you prefer!
