Today I’m bringing you a nude makeup look with shades that have rosy and pink undertones. I find when I try to use nude lipsticks specifically I end up looking totally washed out and pale. Using colours that have a are nude but have a slight pink hue to them work much better for my skin tone.
I felt like I put on so much eyeshadow but once I saw the photos I realized how natural it actually looks. I am usually a “one shade” kind of gal when it comes to eyeshadow. I throw one colour all over my lids and call it a day. But I used three different colours today and after a LOT of blending I think it turned out ok!
Dior 5 Couleurs Designer Eyeshadow in Nude Pink Design ($61 CAD) is a palette that includes 4 eyeshadows and one gel liner. I think this palette is a bit overpriced considering you can get high end shadow palettes with 12 or more shades for around the same price (for example the Naked Palettes?) That being said I really love the formula of these shadows, they are velvety and go on super smooth. They are all shimmery/sparkly which isn’t really my jam but I was still able to create a makeup look that I loved using the shadows and the gel liner!
*The only colour I didn’t use was the one on the top right because it was pretty much straight glitter.
Arbonne Smoothed Over Lipstick in Magnolia ($28 CAD) is one of my favourite new “nude” lipsticks. It’s a bit sheer so some of my natural lip colour shows through which I like. There are some slight pink undertones in this colour that don’t show up very well on camera but are more visible in person. The glossy and hydrating formula of this lipstick is on point. Plus it’s I have a few other lipsticks from the Smoothed Over Lipstick Collection and all of them are great in my opinion!
* They are also Dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic and vegan
I used a light hand so the eyeshadow isn’t super dramatic and I love how simple and natural it looks. Despite how glittery the colours appeared in the pan they didn’t end up looking that sparkly once applied.
I’m due for an eyelash perm so please excuse my crazy lashes going in every direction. THEY CAN NOT BE TAMED!

Frig your hair is wicked looking. My husband always wants me to dye my hair blonde. I’ve tried it back in like 2005/6 but it turned out terrible (at least, I thought so). You pull it off so well, even though I’ve only known you as a one. But you know what I mean. I think this icy cool toned one is friggen fantastic on your complexion.
