I love having a beauty blog and being able to constantly try out new makeup. It’s allowed me to play with makeup from brands that are new to me and experiment with new products. Dior is one of those brands. Until recently I had never tried anything from them and now I’m a huge fan of their makeup – especially their foundation. I was sent some of the upcoming Dior Fall 2015 collection (available in August) and I don’t think it’s any surprise that I’ve already found a few things that I love!
For those of you who might be looking to pick up a few key items from this collection I’ve created a makeup look using my current favourites. This look is peachy, light and perfect for all year round!
Dior Diorblush Cheek Stick ($41 CAD) *Available August 1, 2015
This stick blush is no joke and packs some serious pigmentation. It comes in 3 rosy shades to flatter every complexion and you can apply it sheer or really dial up the colour.
Originally I used a dual fibre brush and swirled it onto the stick and then applied it to my cheeks. I found this gave more colour than I wanted so the next time I applied a small amount to my fingertips and dabbed it onto my cheeks. It has a smooth velvety finish that’s not super dewy but not matte either. This is a great on-the-go item that you can apply in a pinch without brushes and because it’s not a powder there’s no fear of dropping and shattering (we’ve all been there. RIP fallen blushes)
Dior Fix It 2-in-1 Prime and Conceal ($36 CAD) *Available September 2015
Dior calls this their “instant and multi-purpose concealer. Erase pores, fill wrinkles and correct imperfections.” This magical product comes in 3 shades – Light, Medium and Dark.
If I had to pick one Holy Grail product from the fall collection this would be it. I have never in my life found an under eye concealer than applies so smooth and doesn’t crease ALL DAY. I don’t like this for concealing blemishes, it’s too sheer and not thick enough. But for under eyes its the best products I have used hands down. Not too dry and not too oily it almost has a powdery finish.
Maybe because it has a primer built in it helps keep it looking smooth all day? I’m not sure, but I am impressed and think this is worth every penny.
Dior Addict Fluid Shadow ($36 CAD) *Available August 1, 2015
This is described as “a refined, light weight fluid with high shine that dries in just a few seconds and pigments that blend seamlessly with the skin.” It comes in 6 gorgeous shades and the colour shown here is Aurora. It’s a beautiful pink/champagne shade that I am absolutely loving.
It’s very thin and watery in texture and blends like a dream. I swiped it across my eyelid and blended with my finger tip. The key is to keep your eyes closed for about 30 seconds to let it dry and you’ll be crease-free all day! The finish is almost like a lacquer and I truly haven’t tried anything else similar to this yet. If you want something unique and high impact – pick up this pretty lil thang.
Dior Rouge Dior ($42 CAD) *Available August 1, 2015
This moisturizing lipstick was another highlight of the collection. While the colour isn’t anything too groundbreaking it’s such a lovely shade that I keep reaching for over and over again. It can look both pink and peachy depending on the makeup you pair with it and it’s neutral enough that it compliments almost any look.
I’m a lip chewer and this lasted about 2 hours on me which is pretty darned good! It doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry at all and has a glossy finish. It comes in 3 shades, all in the pink/rose family. The one shown here is 542 Nouvelle Femme. It ain’t cheap but if you have been wanting to try a high-end lipstick this one is a good choice.

The eyeshadow really is amazing. It’s almost like water it’s so thin and it looks so shimmery and gorgeous on the eye.
Sheila says
Very pretty! Love that peachy pink lipstick on you. Your face looks so naturally flushed – love it!
Megan Joy says
Thanks Sheila, I am loving that lipstick. It’s just a touch of peach without being to orange or bright. I’ve never used Dior lipstick before but I like the formula.
Zoe says
Ah such a pretty look and that lipstick and shadow are perfect on you! I didn’t get to try the Fixit but I am super interested now based on your review, it sounds fantastic. I am honestly loving everything from the collection!
Megan Joy says
It’s not joke. I mean, everyone’s eyes are different but for me it smoothes over lines like magic!
Chantal says
That Fix It sounds wonderful! I currently use Benefit Fake Up which looks very similar. It’s not 100% crease proof, but a lot better than the other concealers I’ve tried.
Also very intrigued by the fluid shadow. It looks wonderful on you! All the products do! 🙂
Megan Joy says
Yes! The Fix It definitely reminds me of the Benefit Fake Up, the concealer with a serum in the middle.
Jen says
I really like the look of that liquid shadow! Love the soft metallic finish 🙂
Megan Joy says
I haven’t tried anything else like it!
MizzJ says
You look so ethereal here! These products give off a really pretty glow. I’m not normally a fan of stick blushes but this one sounds pretty decent!
Megan Joy says
I don’t normally like stick blushes either and I don’t think I would ever use it straight from the bullet just bc I don’t want to disturb my rosacea by swiping something along my cheeks. But when I use a brush it applies really nicely!
Andy says
Ugggh I want everything. I love creme blush sticks these days, and this shade is just so lovely. And the concealer! And the beautiful, beautiful lipstick!
Megan Joy says
Haha the lipstick is gorgeous. I wore it to a wedding recently and got lots of compliments!
Beyond Blush says
Loving this lip colour on you! 🙂
Megan Joy says
Thanks! I am impressed with the formula and the colour kind of goes with any makeup look.
Jayne says
You look so perfectly peachy here! I’m still playing around with the Fluid Shadows, but I think they still have to be one of my favourites in the collection from Dior!
Megan Joy says
They can be tricky to work with, they go from crazy pigmented to super sheer very fast lol But I love the texture of them, they are like a foiled shadow once they are set!
