My go-to makeup is pink lipstick and liquid liner. It’s rare that I stray from that unless I’m doing a makeup look for the blog or it’s a special occasion. I recently received a few products from theBalm Cosmetics (to go along with the many products I’ve purchased from them). I’ve been enjoying mixing up my every day makeup looks using some of my favourites as well as some of the newer products I’ve just discovered from theBalm!
Today’s “Makeup Monday” post is featuring a look that’s light, quick and easy. Perfect for a hot summer day too!

The theBalm Timebalm Face Primer is super velvety and while it doesn’t totally blur fine lines it does smooth out the texture of my skin slightly which I enjoy. It also contains vitamins A, C & E. So not only does it keep my foundation in place, also helps to nourish my skin. Win win!
I’m a full coverage gal when it comes to foundation so I was skeptical of theBalm Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 18. It’s definitely something I can only wear when I’m having a good skin day which means a day that my rosacea isn’t flaring up and I don’t have any huge breakouts. It’s surprisingly buildable but still more on the sheer side. I love that it has SPF build right in!
I’m always a fan of a dual purpose product but it’s not often you get a blush/shadow product! theBalm DownBoy is a beautiful baby pink that looks good on the cheeks and the eyes! It’s very finely milled so watch out for fall-out, but overall I am loving having this new blush in my rotation!
I bought this almost 6 months ago and I’ve barely put a dent in it. I think it’s going to last me for years! theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer, Shadow & Contour Powder is matte and it’s the perfect contour shade. You will not look orange when using this bronzer. No oompa loompas here!
I’ve had theBalm Cindy-Lou Manizer for months now, I picked it up while I still lived in San Francisco! At first I didn’t like it at all, but after trying it again recently I’ve really started to love the peachy pink glow I get from it. I also use it as a blush sometimes because it really does lean very pink.
If I had to pick one holy grail product from theBalm it would be theBalm Sexy Mama Anti-Shine Translucent Powder. I bought this in San Francisco as well and it’s the best setting powder I’ve ever used. It’s more taupe than white and according to the website it has “revolutionary, tiny, oil-absorbing spheres to remove dreaded shine, leaving you with a soft, matte finish.” Tiny little spheres? Whatever they are, they work people. They work! It instantly mattifies your skin while still leaving it with a natural finish. Lurv it.
theBalm What’s Your Type? “tall, dark, and handsome” is a lengthening and volumizing mascara. It has a thin wand which I always look for in a mascara and it delivers on being super black and non-clumping!
I reviewed theBalm Read My Lips lipgloss in Pop last week (you can see all 5 shades that I swatched here!). It’s a really pretty coral shade and it’s very hydrating without being super sticky,
I hope you enjoyed this post! Have you tried anything from theBalm? Let me know in the comments!
* This post contains products that were sent to me for consideration. As always, my reviews and opinions are my own.

That lipstick colour is really pretty on, isn’t it! Also, strange that the SPF is “18”, and not a number like we’re used to, haha.

It’s true, it’s usually 15 or 30! It’s very sheer but I love the dewy finish it has. I know you love a good dewy makeup look! : )
Pauline says
Absolutely flawless! Your makeup looks absolutely fresh and natural!! Been dying to get my hands on more of theBalm’s blushes, I have Hot Mama and I want more!
Megan Joy says
Do you love Hot Mama? It’s my favourite setting powder! I haven’t been disappointed by anything from theBalm yet!

Really beautiful look Megan! I’ve heard so many good things about the Lou-manizer! Definitely seems like a cult product in people’s collection!
