How to Make the Jugo Juice Mighty Kale Smoothie At Home!

August 10, 2015 11 Comments

The internet is a wonderful thing. You can Google recipes for almost anything, including delicious smoothies! I’ve been a fan of Jugo Juice for years. I’m not sure if it’s only in Canada, but it’s very similar to Booster Juice. If I was feeling a bit sick and wanted to get a smoothie full of greens I’d stop by the Eaton Center Jugo Juice location and pick up a Might Kale Veggie Smoothie.

I became such a fan of this green and tasty smoothie that I wanted to try and make it at home. Enter my genius husband who tinkered with the recipe to get it just right. If you want to try making this smoothie yourself then just keep reading!

[Edit: We omit the pineapple which is included in recipe on the Jugo Juice website, but in my opinion it tastes better this way!]

Ingredients:

    • 1/2 cup orange juice
    • 1/2 cup apple juice
    • 1/2 cup kale
    • 1/2 cup spinach
    • 1/2 cup frozen mango

Step 1:

orange juice

Step 2:

spinach

Step 3:

frozen-mango

Step 4:

Blend blend blend!

And voila! You’ve got a delicious smoothie that is still sweet but also packs a ton of nutrients.

Okay I totally had to google-image Jugo Juice. I probably have passed by them when I was shopping solo in the Eaton Centre many a time, without noticing them. Oops! I always thought you were talking about Booster Juice. And speaking of Booster Juice, I told you in my voice note they raised their prices… I meant to say that Jamba Juice did. Dang their yummy chocolate moo’d.

BTW your photos for this turned out beautifully! So bright, and I wasn’t expecting a green drink from when you described it to me the other day, lol!

Yum! I always pick up a smoothie from Jugo Juice when I’m downtown for meetings. I happen to have all these ingredients in the fridge right now so I think I might make one tomorrow!
