Dior Cosmopolite Collection: Dior Nail Vernis

August 17, 2015 2 Comments

polish

Dior has released their Fall 2015 Cosmopolite collection! I’ve posted a few times about this collection already and I’m excited to share their fall nail polish colours with you today. This new lineup is meant to mimic gel liners by giving smooth and even application with long-lasting results.

The Limited Edition Dior Vernis Fall Collection ($31 CAD) contains 4 gorgeous shades. The range includes metallic, shimmer and creme finishes and the colours are perfect for the coming season. Dior polishes are also 4-free (without toluene, formaldehyde, phthalates or camphor). The khaki green and plumb red are two of my favourite colours during Autumn so I was happy to see both shades in this collection.

* I am swatching all of these colours without top coat so you can see the natural finish. I would recommend adding top coat especially on metallic shades.

miroir

This is totally a dupe for the Essie Mirror Metallics collection. As with any metallic colour I’ve used it definitely applies streaky, but if you apply a top coat you’ll end up wish a much smoother and more even look. You have to work quickly with metallics and apply thin coats to get the best coverage.

darling blue

This royal blue shimmer is high on shine and gets full coverage with just two coats. It’s not my favourite colour out of the bunch but it is a really pretty navy blue with lovely fine glitter.

cosmopolite

This crimson shade is totally a colour I associate with fall. Two coats of this creme polish and you are ready to go, you could even skip the top coat the finish is so glossy. This is my favourite shade from the collection!

metropolis

701 Metropolis

This deep green colour is so pretty and applies thick but evens out nicely. This shade has a barely noticeable glitter that totally hits the mark.

These polishes all had good wear time with none of them chipping until at least day 3 (and that’s without top coat!) Which colour is your favourite? Let me know in the comments!

* This post contains products that were sent to me for consideration. As always, my reviews and opinions are my own.

It’s true, it’s such a pretty green shade. I didn’t even notice the glitter until I was reading someone else’s review and they mentioned there was super fine glitter in it. I was like OH YEAH! At first I thought it was just a creme polish : )
