When it comes to watches I am very picky. I’ve had the same one watch for over 3 years as I haven’t found another one I like as much. But when JORD Wood Watches reached out to me and asked if I would like to try out one of their wood watches I have to admit I was intrigued. My current watch is a rose gold with lots of sparkle so a wood watch seemed like a nice alternative to try as a more casual option. I was sent the Fieldcrest Watch in Maple ($129 CAD). This blonde wood is hand finished and treated so each one is unique. While it’s splash-proof, it can not be submerged in water. This isn’t a big deal to me as I don’t do water sports or wear my watch in the shower.
First off, this watch is light as a feather. I’m constantly taking it off and getting people to feel it because I can’t believe it. Maybe that’s because I’m used to a much heavier metal watch, but regardless it’s super lightweight! The clasp is invisible once you clip it in and the release button is easy to access. I gave JORD my measurements ahead of time so they took out a few links for me and when I received the watch it fit perfectly. They also included the extra links in the box incase I needed to add more at some point down the line.
Today was a little chilly for an August afternoon (not too chilly for a Tim Hortons Iced Coffee though!) so I threw on my faux leather jacket. One thing I noticed right away was that this watch was great for casual outfits like this, but it also transitions well to dressier looks too. I wore it with heels and a dress last week and it still matched really nicely.

These watches are so gorgeous and I love that they’re light – I don’t usually wear a watch because the extra weight annoys me, but this might just work.

I hear you. My MK watch is the boyfriend style so the face is huge and though I love it, it’s super heavy lol I was so pleasantly surprised by how light these ones are!

Hm… good question! Well I am really klutzy (as you know) and I’ve banged it around a few times while wearing it and so far no dents! It also has a 1 year warranty which is nice!

Haha leggings and tunics are all I ever wear! I get my leggings from Forever 21, they are like $4 a pair. And H&M has great long t-shirts but this one is from Jacob & Co.!

I’m so in love with how this watch looks on you! I never would have thought to consider a wood watch but the weight factor is definitely intriguing. I wear my white & rose gold watch all the time but I often take it off at the office because it feels heavy when I’m typing at my desk all day!
