Did you know that I am part of the Fashion Magazine Beauty Panel? Every few weeks select bloggers from across Canada complete a makeup “challenge” and submit their looks! Last weeks’ challenge was to show off how you love to wear the shade orange (see everyone else’s submissions here!) As soon as I read this challenge I knew which product I would be reaching for!
Orange makeup has been a popular trend in 2015 and with good reason. Orange lipstick is a great alternative to a bold red lip but still makes a statement. I’m currently loving the matte orange lipstick from Colourpop in the shade Chi Chi. It offers a high impact orange hue without making you look like you ate one too many Cheezies. I should also mention that it smells like chocolate. Yes you heard that correctly, Colourpop lipsticks have a signature cocoa sent that will make you want to apply this every day!
This Colourpop lipstick is the matte formula so you get long lasting colour but with that comes a bit of dryness. Be sure to exfoliate your lips before using a matte lipstick to help avoid the product sticking to dry patches. I also like to apply chapstick first to give my lips a little extra boost of moisture.

I am so going to post a TBT tomorrow on Instagram showing YOU how I wear orange makeup. A few years ago when I lived in the Toronto area I went to a Make Up For Ever event and they put me in some orange lipstick… I LOVED it. I still have it written down as to what shade it is. I need to go buy it!

Yesss I can’t wait to see it! I bet you would ROCK an orange lip. Apparently it’s one of the most universally flattering shades, it’s just not very popular lol

That lip combined with the eye look and your hair is so gorgeous. I ended up picking up a Colour Pop lippie stix because of the way you described their scent. I don’t have it yet, but I will next week when I grab my order from the US. So excited to try them out. 🙂

Thanks Jenn! I do find the matte Colourpop lippies a bit drying but it’s nothing a little lip balm can’t fix. I think orange would look amazing on you! ; )
