Multi-Masking with Lush Cosmetics

Lush Cosmetics recently released some new Fresh Face Masks (hallelujah!) and of course I had to jump on it and try them ASAP. I am a huge Lushie and have tried almost all of their Fresh Face Masks at one time or another. Until now my favourite has been Oatifix, it’s a soothing oat, banana and almonds that is great for sensitive skin like mine.

For these photos I was wearing my pajamas and pigtail buns because I’m an adult and I made a choice. Sometimes I just want to look like a sleepy, disheveled Princess Leia. Moving on!

The two that I got from the new collection are Rosy Cheeks ($12.95 CAD) and Don’t Look At Me ($10.95 CAD). There’s also a new one called Cup O’Coffee but it was sold out (for obvious reasons). They are called Fresh Face Masks because not only are they hand-made fresh, they also need to be kept in the fridge in order to keep them from going bad. Most are good for several weeks so you just have to remember to use these once or twice a week before they expire!

Rosy Cheeks is a vegan fresh face mask that contains several soothing ingredients. As someone who suffers from rosacea this mask sounds like it’s right up my alley! It contains Turkish rose oil and calamine which are both very calming. It has a strong rose scent though so if you are sensitive to fragrances keep that in mind!

Don’t Look At Me is bright blue vegan fresh face mask that aims to smooth and brighten the skin. It contains ground rice, murumuru butter moisturizes and lemon which is great for oily or acne prone skin.

I was a bit torn when I got these masks because I have rosacea but I also have breakouts on my chin and forehead. Don’t Look At Me seemed too intense for my areas with rosacea but Rosy Cheeks seemed like it might not be the right mask to help my acne prone t-zone. What to do? Use them both of course!

I used them both at the same time and it worked perfectly! My “always red” cheeks were calm while my t-zone was soft and smooth.

Have you tried multi-masking? It’s a great way to pamper your skin no matter what your concerns are. Let’s face it – all of our faces are unique. Just like most skincare, one size does not fit all. So sometimes it’s best to mix and match face masks to find the right combination for you!

On to the GIF’s!

I love those princess leia buns on you! They’re super cute 🙂

    I have never multi-masked before… such a good idea.

Looks like a perfect combo! I’m so eager to try Rosy Cheeks as my skin is always dealing with redness. Love rosy scents too 🙂
