I haven’t done a bump update in a few weeks and I can’t believe I’m already at week 26! I’m past the 6 month mark and almost into my third trimester now. Portland has set a record for the most consecutive days of rain (I think we are at about 19 or 20 at this point?) so it’s been hard to take photos these past few weeks. It’s still an overcast day but the rain let up for a few hours so I though I’d take advantage and snap a few pics : )

You might notice a furry little cutie in the photo above (well…his bum anyway). That’s Grizzly! He’s another French Bulldog and we are watching him this week while his mom moves from Toronto to Portland! I am so excited to have another familiar face here in the city, so selfishly I can’t wait until she gets here. Portland welcomes you Sarah! ; )
What’s Happening At 26 Weeks:
- Baby is about the size of a papaya and weighs just over a pound and a half
- Acid reflux has gone from a “just at night” thing to an “all the time” thing. Tums are my best friend!
- A stranger noticed I was pregnant for the first time! This might seem weird but it was a really exciting milestone : )
- We had a dog trainer come to help us prepare Buffy for when the baby comes. It’s easy to forget it’s going to be a big transition for her too and we want it to be as safe and easy as possible for everyone involved
- We still haven’t picked a name but we have narrowed it down to about 3 options. Still looking for name suggestions if you have them!
The only thing cuter than one frenchie photobombing my photo is TWO! How cute are these little sausages???

Names, names, names ! Feels like such a huge responsibility, as the child will go through life with the name that you chose. We always wondered if we chose the right name…

I think it’s all the layers we wear this time of year, it can make it hard to tell. I got SO excited when someone asked how far along I was : ) Frenchies make the best photobombers hee hee!
