Bump Day: 32 Weeks

I’m in the final stretch y’all! I am 8 month pregnant this week and only 8 WEEKS to go. People have started asking me if I have the baby’s room ready (I don’t) or if I have my hospital bag packed (I don’t) but we have the essentials so if she decides to make an early entrance we’ll be just fine. I hope.

James and I are city people and rely on transit or Uber to get us around. Neither of us have owned a car in over 5 years. After we found out I was pregnant we realized it was time to start looking for a car. Look at us being grownups!

We have settled on a car but of course the style and colour we want is nowhere to be found in the state of Oregon. We recently opened our search to include a few additional colours and hopefully we will have our new wheels in the next month!

I don’t know why, but I have started sleeping better this last week. Mind you, I still get up 3-4 times a night to pee. Room is getting sparse for this baby girl, so instead of kicks and punches I’m feeling a lot more rolling and shifting. Once, and only once, did she kick my bladder this week and thankfully I made it to the bathroom before something embarrassing happened…

Did I mention being pregnant is a magical experience???

What’s Happening At 32 Weeks:

• Baby is about 4 pounds and about the length of a head of lettuce
• I started attending prenatal yoga (better late than never right?)
• She has started kicking my ribs this week – ouch!
• We got our car seat this week. Now we just need a car to put it in.
• I need to start packing a hospital bag for both myself and the baby. Suggestions on what to pack are welcome!
