What the what?? This last week went by way too fast. I feel like I JUST posted my 32 week update! James was really sick all week and I was so sure I was going to be able to fight it off. I was keeping hydrated, taking all my vitamins and sanitizing everything in sight. But no such luck. After 6 straight days of James being ill I finally caught it too. It’s been an uneventful 7 days filled with a lot of Bendryl, naps and tea. On a more positive note, the sun has been shining for a whopping 3 days in a row in Portland so I can finally take photos outside again!
I am back to sleeping about 3-4 hours a night which isn’t the best but I am surprisingly full of energy at the same time. Maybe I’ve entered the “nesting” phase (it’s a real thing – look it up) because no matter how little I sleep I still want to clean, organize and tidy all day.
What I wore:
- H&M MAMA Leggings (exact)
- Forever 21 Chambray Studded Shirt (similar)
- Shein Black & White Striped Dress (exact)
Buffy totally knows something is up. She hasn’t acted any differently throughout this whole pregnancy but in the last week she has become very attached to me. She constantly wants to be near me and snuggled up against or near my belly. Since I’ve been sick the last few days I have selfishly been enjoying some extra snuggles with my little pooch.
The baby’s kicks can easily be felt on the outside now so occasionally Buffy will be curled up next to me and get poked by the baby’s hand or foot! Thankfully Buffy is not fazed in the slightest. It takes more than that to wake this lazy dog : )
What’s Happening At 33 Weeks:
- Baby is the length of a Honeydew melon and weighs about 4.2 pounds
- We went to the midwife this week and she is already head down, which is great!
- Her lungs are almost completely developed
- She will be gaining about a half pound a week (!!!) for the rest of the pregnancy
I hope you are all having an amazing week! Let me know in the comments what you are up to this weekend and if you have any plans for Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) Day! We are staying in, ordering take out and watching an Entourage marathon : )

Thanks Danielle! I am seriously on a cleaning/organizing rampage which isn’t the best right now since I am also sick and need to be resting lol I didn’t believe that dogs could sense things like pregnancy but now I am a total believer. I can’t wait for Buffy to meet the baby!
