Rose gold everything, am I right? When it comes to jewellery I always gravitate towards rose gold and this watch is no exception. The Michael Hill Ladies Multi Function Watch in Rose Tone Stainless Steel is as practical as it is pretty.
Founded in 1979 by Sir Michael Hill (that’s right, he’s been knighted) Michael Hill Jewellers has grown from one small shop in New Zealand to a world-renowned brand with over 200 locations worldwide. Back in the day Mr. Hill and his family would create unique window displays to try and stand out from other jewellery shops. And it worked! They won several awards for their spectacular window dressings. Pretty cool eh?
It’s just so gosh darn beautiful! This watch isn’t super dainty but it’s not quite the oversized “boyfriend” style either. I find it a really nice size for my wrist so it feels weighted and substantial without being too heavy. There is another rose Michael Hill watch that has cubic zirconias around the face but I decided to go for the less glitzy option. Not that I don’t want to shine bright like a diamond – oh I do – but I wanted something a bit more casual for everyday wear.
The face is a little busy in my opinion, personally I prefer a more minimal look. I just need to know the minutes and the hours y’all! But if you like to know the day of the week and the date at a glance you’ll really appreciate these extra features.
Fun fact: I’ve also gotten to the point in my pregnancy where I can no longer wear my wedding rings (curse you swollen fingers!) so now my watch is pretty much the only accessory I wear. Good thing I like it so much!
I don’t wear a lot of jewellery (other than my wedding rings) so watches are one of my few accessories. I throw this on when I’m wearing a t-shirt and jeans but I also feel comfortable wearing it with more formal outfits. It’s craftsmanship and design make it super versatile which is something I always look for in jewellery, especially if it’s a higher end item.

I wondered the same thing, I had to look it up! One shows the day of the week (Mon, Tues etc) one shows the day of the month (15, 16 etc) and the last one is a seconds hand!

Michael Hill is a new brand to me but they have locations popping up all over Canada and the US. This is just as nice as the MK rose gold watches in my opinion!
