She’s here! Piper Joy Ayres was born on March 25th, 2016 at 8:14pm, weighing 6 pounds 14 oz! My husband and I have had so much fun over the last 6 weeks getting to know this little bundle of JOY!
I took the month of April off of blogging, so thanks to everyone to guest posted while I was away! Now that I am getting back into the swing of things it seemed only proper that I introduce my sweet little Piper to you all.

These photos were taken when Piper was only a week old and she has changed so much since then. She’s almost 7 weeks old now and at the risk of sounding cliché, where did the time go??
The lovely Ali Bonomo of Ali B Photography captured these moments for us. If you are in the Portland area and need a wedding, engagement or baby photographer I would highly recommend Ali! Not only did she take beautiful photos but she made us feel totally at ease. She has a way of making you feel completely relaxed so you almost forget the camera is there. One of the reasons we booked her is because she focuses on capturing candid “real life” moments over staged or posed pictures. She also included our dog Buffy in the photos which made them even more special!

When Ali was editing the photos she mentioned to me that Piper was the most expressive baby she had ever worked with! We laughed out loud when she said that because it confirmed what we already knew – Piper has a big personality!

This pink onesie and cap is what we brought Piper home from the hospital in! I love that the cap looks like a pilot hat We bought them from Hanna Andersson and are both made from Organic Pima Cotton which is insanely soft. Great for newborn babies sensitive skin!

Though my blog will still have lots of beauty and fashion content I will definitely be sharing more “Mommy” style posts. I am so excited to share this new journey of motherhood with you all!
I was thinking of doing a post talking about my birth story/experience but I wasn’t sure if people would be interested in reading that. Please let me know in the comments if that’s something you’d want to see!
