Fall Makeup Look With Glo Minerals

glo-minerals-shadow-stick-review

Happy December! While the holiday season is in full swing, it’s still teeeeechnically fall. Purples and plums are my favourite eyeshadow shades year round, but especially in autumn. It’s a great colour to enhance green and hazel eyes and it’s one you can find in nearly any eyeshadow palette.

Now that I work from home (aka living that stay-at-home mom life) I don’t wear a full face of makeup often. I’m just one of those people who values sleep and food over makeup. So if Piper takes a nap, I’m prioritizing a snack and a snooze 100% of the time. A few times a week I manage to throw on some makeup and I’m such a fan of cream shadows to help me create a quick and easy look.

Lately I’ve been reaching for the Glo Minerals Cream Stay Shadow Sticks which are sheer but buildable cream shadows. My favourite colours are Beam (a shimmery gold), Gold Blush (a shimmery pink) and Concord (a shimmery plum). They come satin shades too if shimmer isn’t your jam. And the coloured plastic end pops off to reveal a built-in sharpener. Yes ma’am!

These shadow pencils are also talc and paraben-free by the way! I like that I can apply them as subtle or bold as I want to and I don’t need any brushes or tools, just my fingers! Sometimes I swipe one shade all over my lid and that’s it, and other days I mix a few of them together for a more dramatic look.

Today I went a bit bolder with my eye makeup since I was wearing glasses and wanted the colours to stand out. I used Beam on the inner corner, Gold Blush in the crease and Concord along the bottom lash line.

I love these Warby Parker glasses in the style Percey in Striped Sassafras, I’ve had them for almost a year now and they are still in great shape. I don’t wear them a lot since I had Lasik and my prescription isn’t very strong, but I really like the style of these frames. Have you ever tried Warby Parker? They just opened a storefront location in Portland and I can’t wait to check it out!

What is your go-to fall makeup colour? A red vampy lip? A dramatic liquid liner? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Cream shadow sticks are my favourite! You never have to worry about a powder falling and shattering when you’re on the go or at the gym. Glad you liked all the colours!

These shades looks very fall/winter appropriate! The glasses looks good on you. I love how you wear a bolder look with your glasses on. It’s perfect! I couldn’t stop staring at your lip color. Lovely shade for fall. I’m in love with Colourpop highlighter and Love A Flare super shocker recently. xo

For sure, you can’t go wrong with a copper eye look. It’s so flattering on any eye colour!

These are definitely shades I would go for! I love the look you did with them.
As much as my inner rock chick would love to do bold lips and dark eyes, I usually end up being more conservative when I do my makeup, and what you did is exactly up my alley!

Haha I’m the same, I always love the idea of going super bold and in the end usually opt for something more tame 🙂
