It’s date night! James and I are celebrating our 4 year anniversary this year which feels crazy that almost half a decade has passed since our wedding day. I snapped a few photos before we headed out to Nostrana for dinner and realized I wore this exact outfit to a friend’s birthday last week. That’s how much of a go-to this has become for me! I’ve been wanting to try the “cold shoulder” trend for a while and when I saw this one from PinkBlush I knew it would be perfect for a night out. I would never dare to wear this with Piper around though. The lace detail would be either ripped or stained (or both) within minutes. Such is the life of a toddler mom!
It was so lovely to have an evening out just James and I. We enjoyed a nice dinner and finished the night with a stop at Ruby Jewel (a local ice cream sandwich shop).
Outfit details:
- Top: PinkBlush Cold Shoulder Lace Top
- Pants: H&M Slim Black High Waist Pants
- Shoes: Le Chateau Heels (I originally posted about them back in 2015 and you can find that post here)
- Bag: Kate Spade Cedar Street Maise handbag in Mahogany Wine
Have you tried the cold shoulder trend? I feel like there are so many cute options out there right now! Let me know what your favourite trend is right now in the comments!

LOVE this look! I can’t pull off beige, but I’d definitely like this top in another color. So cute!!!

Thanks Erin! And yeah, the blush colour can be so tricky, I have some tops that are just a bit too light and they look like the same colour as my skin haha!

What a fantastic outfit. You look radiant! Love the cold shoulder top!

Thanks Marlynn! That radiance is definitely just a good highlighter 🙂

You look adorable, as always! And I hear you: I rarely get to wear much of my closet because it will just get ruined by kids. When I dress to go out, the first thing I do when I come home is change so my clothes aren’t ripped or stained by certain members of the household!
Megan Joy says
Isn’t it fun to wear fancy things when you know they won’t get ruined? It’s an amazing feeling!

Happy anniversary! I’ve been loving the off the shoulder trend, it’s so nice to show off shoulders instead of the chest area which is usually where the “cut” in tops and dresses tend to be, and there’s something romantic and sexy about it!
