DIY Baby Eleven Costume: Stranger Things

October 27, 2017 4 Comments

First off, taking these photos has made me realize we really need a new camera lens. The one we currently have doesn’t focus fast enough and every photo I take of Piper ends up totally blurry 🙁 Suggestions? We have a Canon T5i!

Anyway, I’m a big fan of the Netflix show Stranger Things and decided to dress up Piper as Eleven this year. She is brave, intense and fearless just like Eleven so it seemed like the perfect fit! Other than the socks we were able to put this together with stuff she already had which was nice. Scroll down for the full list of items we used to make her little outfit!

My Barb costume was bought from a Halloween costume store since I didn’t end up having time to search for a vintage shirt. You could probably find one for way cheaper than the one I bought (the shirt was $24 and the glasses were $8). The high-waisted mom jeans came from my closet of course!

Piper’s DIY Costume:

  • Dress:  Primary Long Sleeve Baby Dress in the color Petal
  • Peter Pan Collar:  I layered a shirt with a peter pan collar underneath but Primary also has one called the Peter Pan Babysuit
  • Cardigan:  Primary Baby Snap Cardi in color Navy
  • Socks:  FCTRY 80’s Style Baby Socks

One day she will think having matching costumes with her mom is super lame, but I plan on taking advantage while she is too young to know the difference haha! She thoroughly enjoyed the Eggo waffle! She ate the whole thing by the time we were done taking photos. It’s crazy to think that this time last year Piper was only 6 months old and barely crawling. So much has changed!

What are you dressing up as for Halloween this year? Do you have kiddos that you are putting in costumes? Let me know in the comments so I have some inspiration for next year! 🙂

Wanted to do this this year and came across your page – awesome! I can’t seem to find those baby socks anywhere though – do you know of another place to order? Seems sold out everywhere!
