This week I was so excited to be invited to The Lash Lounge Portland in Bethany Village. They were sweet enough to offer me a complimentary lash lift and tint! If you’re not familiar with this service, it’s very different from lash extensions. They curl (aka perm/lift) your natural lashes using a special solution and it lasts until your lashes naturally fall out and new ones grow in. This can range from about 6-8 weeks depending on the person. No additional appointments for refills or removal required, and it’s about half the price of a traditional lash extensions set. For a busy mom like me, I really love this option as it replaces my lash curler and saves me time while getting ready. I have the straightest lashes ever, but the lash lift offers a really natural effect that still makes your eyes pop!
I am so happy with the results! I normally have to spend a good portion of my makeup routine trying to curl my lashes and make them look somewhat visible. They are so straight they actually grow downward! This service makes it possible to skip the lash curler completely. And the tint darkened my lashes noticeably so even on “no makeup” days (which let’s be honest, happen a lot as a SAHM) you can actually see my lashes.
If you are looking for a subtle and low-maintence alternative to lash extensions I think this is the perfect service for you. I love that it saves me time in the morning while getting ready and I can get it re-done whenever I have the time. The Lash Lift is $80 and the Lash Tint is $30 (you don’t have to get both). Totally worth the price in my opinion and I will definitely be returning to get this done again soon!
* If you happen to live in Canada (specifically Niagara) my girl Miranda is an amazing lash tech! *
Thanks again to The Lash Lounge for having me in! <3

They look great! My lashes are like yours and the only way they stay curled from a lash curler is if I use waterproof mascara, which I hate using everyday because it’s such a pain to remove. I’m curious about trying this! Now just to find a reputable spot in my city. Thanks for sharing!

I feel the same way! I always have to use a lash curler and waterproof mascara to get any kind of hold. I love not having to do that when I have a lash lift! What city are you in?

I live in Ottawa, ON. I’ve heard of a couple of spots that do lash lifts but I need to do some research first I think!

Your lashes look fantastic! I’ve had lash extensions in the past and although I loved the look initially, they ended up damaging my lash line and they were so expensive to upkeep. I love the idea of this lift and tint alternative – especially the lower cost and the fact that they last longer. I am certainly going to be looking into this service!

I love how your lashes looked afterwards! There are so many lash places here in Canada so you’ve inspired me to get my own lashes done!
