I can’t believe Willow Joy is seven weeks old! It seems like just yesterday we were still deciding on names and now she’s almost two months old. Speaking of names, I wanted to share a few of the names we loved but didn’t end up using. I did a similar post after we had Piper which you can find here!
Maple – I have always loved the name Mabel and when I heard Maple I really liked it! I’ve never heard this used as a girl’s name until very recently and I think it’s so pretty.
Sloan – This was our top contender for a while. We liked this name back when I was pregnant with Piper too. Most people add an “e” for the feminine version but we liked this spelling better.
Clover – Clearly I have a thing for nature-related names! I love this one so much and I’ve never met anyone with this name. I also thought “Piper and Clover” sounded so cute together.
Maeve – I first heard this name on the TV show Westworld and instantly liked it. It’s so feminine and sweet. Also “Mae” was a name we liked for Piper so I’m not surprised this similar name made it on our list this time.
Pearl – This name is so dainty and girly, I love it. And of course it had the advantage of being yet another “P” name 🙂
Poppy – This one is just too similar to Piper so it fell off our list pretty early but it’s still one of my favorite names. I can just envision a spunky and sweet little girl with the name Poppy!
What are your favorite names? Let me know in the comments so any expectant moms can get some inspiration 🙂

Sounds like you had a similar experience to me when I was expecting a daughter. I had a long list of potentials and my husband just picked his favorite.
With my son, it was a good thing he liked one of three I liked, otherwise that would have been really tricky.
My favorites here are Sloan and Poppy 🙂

These names are so cute though I agree Willow Joy is the best! And congratulations on 2 months- its surreal how moments of the day can be simultaneously slow but time is flying by too and the next thing you know you cant believe how much she’s developed!
