Recently my friend Jane and I went to check out the launch party for a new studio space in Portland called The Light Room PDX. It’s a beautiful spot you can book hourly or daily for photoshoots! It’s not something I would ever personally need but if you’re a photographer and looking for a clean, modern space to shoot in, The Light Room would be perfect!
After we attended the launch we went downstairs to Ford Food and Drink which is on the main level of the same building. They had the coolest light fixtures made from whisks 🙂
I became a huge coffee drinker when Piper was a newborn and I was super sleep deprived (comment below if you can relate!) While I still love a good cup of coffee, the last few months I’ve been gravitating more towards tea for some reason. I opted for an iced chai and it was really yummy. It was spicier than most chai’s I’ve tried, but I really liked it!
I have been living in this Levis jean jacket (mine is in the shade Blue Sounds) the last few months. I feel like it adds structure to my outfits which are normally pretty flowy and loose-fitting. I am all about basics most days, so adding this jacket makes me feel a bit more put together. I did have a hard time shelling out the money for it though (it’s $89) as I’m usually a bargain shopper. BUT right now it’s on sale for more than half off!
If you scroll through my Instagram right now you’ll probably find me wearing this jacket in almost every photo over the last few months 🙂 I’m a creature of habit and when I find something I like, I usually wear it until it falls apart. Just like these Vans I’m wearing (I’m currently on my 3rd pair!)
What is your current wardrobe staple? I am already looking forward to spring/summer weather so I can start wearing dresses again every day 🙂

It’s such a cute jacket on you and it does look like it can go with almost anything! My staple is probably my black cardigan that I use now when it’s too warm for sweaters but too cold for just my blouses

What a cute jacket! My wardrobe staple is a black longsleeve shirt that I wear alone or underneath sweaters and sweatshirts – I own at least four different ones.

Uh oh, be careful if we ever run into each other. I think I’m going to buy that same jacket today! I need a new jean jacket (my former one is way too short in the back). It’s also on sale right now for $40. Boom! Purchased.
This is a good thing, because you don’t really want to know what my current staple outfit is, but I’m going to tell you. A gray zip up hoodie sweatshirt from costco and a super old pair of dingy skinny jeans. I need to up my game, or at least learn to accessorize better 😉

Love the jacket on you! I have a denim jacket from the GAP that I’ve owned for over 15 years now. I love how they just get better with each washing!

Yes! I love how a good denim jacket can last for so long. It’s a great wardrobe staple that I wish I had incorporated sooner!
